That dream locale exists in the form of log hunting cabin nestled fittingly in the ambience of a forest. The problem, of course, is that you've never had the money or time to build one. Thanks to the engineers at Conestoga Log Cabins (conestogalogcabins.com), however, you can kiss that barrier to your happiness goodbye.

With cabin kits starting as low as $6,000, Conestoga has opened up the market to a host of new consumers; for example, Kent Mason of Colorado explained, "I've saved and scrapped for a long time, but Conestoga came out with a product that finally made my lifelong dream of owning a hunting cabin a reality."

Mason says he can barely swing a hammer, but still he finished erecting his cabin in just six weekends. This was possible because of Conestoga's convenient and simple building process. Conestoga packs all cabin components–everything from pre-drilled and pre-cut logs to the light bulbs and windows–into a single kit. Assembly requires only basic carpentry tools. Since there's no shopping to do, you'll be living in your dream cabin in no time.

"If it weren't for the kit, I would have spent the weekend running back and forth to the store," said Mason. "Instead, all my time was spent building the cabin, and there was nothing for me to forget to buy."

Mason is not alone; Ralph Reeves, a resident of Maryland, had his 39x20-foot cabin nearly completed after 11 days of work with the help of two people. "It's as easy as stacking logs from a toy store," he explained. "Everything's interlocking and much of it is labeled. If the weather had been better, we would have finished faster."

Included with each kit is an assembly instruction book, an engineered drawing and a toll-free number to a support staff with more than 35 years combined experience. While tech-support lines often compound headaches, Conestoga's is quite reliable. "I knew when I called that I would get somebody who could immediately answer my questions. That was awesome,"said Mason.

The cabins are engineered to last for decades with minimal maintenance. Mason has complete confidence in his cabin's durability. " We got 6 feet of snow last winter and the roof shed it all off. I have no worries at all," he said.

Bud Nash of Laurel, Del., who's built nine Conestoga cabins in the last three years, was getting so many inquires about his hunting cabins and his store, also a Conestoga design, that he asked the company for business cards to hand out. "They sent us a log that holds about 50 of their business cards and we have to fill it two or three times per year," he said.

One of the things that make Conestoga so good is their attention to customer satisfaction. "They kept their schedule and their word," reports Nash. "If we were short on nails or a supply, they were there the next day."

Conestoga has changed the log cabin industry in a manner similar to Henry Ford's revamp of the automobile scene; nobody else in the business can match Conestoga's quality and affordability. Take it from Nash: "Finding Conestoga was like striking a gold mine."
