Conestoga on Foundations
When planning an appropriate foundation for a building project, factors such as local codes, weather conditions and soil type play a large role. When you consider these variables, it is impractical for Conestoga to provide foundation services. Therefore Conestoga has configured their construction teams to perform assemblies on pre-established foundations. This has proven to be the most streamline and cost-effective approach for the owner.
Local Contractors
There are numerous advantages to having foundations done by local contractors. In addition to having the local expertise, specialized tools and man power to effectively accomplish the job, a local contractor has the ability to visually inspect the site to accurately quote the installation.
Below is one foundation type for which Conestoga supplies the wood and fastener materials (concrete is supplied by others). The materials are supplied by Conestoga but are installed by others for the same reasons mentioned above.
The optional pier foundation kit utilizes 6"x6" piers that are placed in the ground an secured with a concrete backfill. After the 2''x12'' header boards are nailed to each row of piers, the cabin skids are attached to the header boards.
